Martin Photography Entrepreneurship Business Scholarship

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements.

• Mentor High School senior

• Planning to study business, entrepreneurship, or a related field

• Shows leadership, discipline, and ambition in school, work, or activities

Your application includes these pieces.

• Completed online application form

• One-page personal essay

• Business plan presentation, 15 to 20 slides

• Resume

• One letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or professional

• Proof of enrollment or acceptance into a business-related program, submitted after selection

The essay gives the review team a clear picture of who you are and where you want to go.

Your one-page essay must:

• Explain who you are and your background

• Explain what excites you about entrepreneurship

• Explain what inspired you to pursue this path

• Describe how the 1,000 dollars will support your goals after high school

Create a business plan presentation for a company you want to build.

15 to 20 slides total, including:

• Title slide with your name and business name

• Problem you want to solve

• Your solution

• Your customer

• The value your idea brings

• Short overview of key competitors

• Your main advantage over those competitors

• Basic pricing or simple revenue model

• Marketing plan

• Operations plan, how the business runs day to day

• Startup steps and timeline

• Your team and the skills you bring

• Basic financial estimates

• Long-term vision for the business
